A Monster Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! There’s a great deal to be thankful about. I’ll start with friends & family, friends who are like family and family who are like friends! There’s also an entire world of wacky inspirations for fiction, mysteries unfolding everywhere and the shadows of monsters (human and perhaps not) lurking just outside my field of vision, waiting for the opening lines of a story to come to life.

So enjoy your turkey or tofu, watch the parade or the football games, inhale the aromas of cinnamon, ginger, apples & the suggestion of winter in the air and whatever you do today, don’t start shopping — yet. Take a little time to enjoy Thanksgiving first.

  1. Happy Thanks Giving to you too, Candy. We don’t have the same traditions, but it’s always good to think back over the year and acknowledge all the good things that have happened. -hugs-

My family often travels over Thanksgiving so I’ve had a fancy tea in London, Tapas in Madrid, seafood in Rome…. but there is something special about following the tradition and being thankful over a turkey dinner.

It’s true, we must acknowledge the good things that happen and no only focus on the negative — although monsters can by fun!
