Holiday Hiatus

I’m taking a short break from my twice-weekly blog posts. It will be my holiday hiatus. I’ll get back to blogging on Monday, January 2, 2017. Just in time to report for Jury Duty on Tuesday, January 3. Perhaps I’ll get some great new fiction ideas from my jury service? We’ll see. I’ve served before, but the creativity in crime seems endless and, at the very least, I’ll meet more of my fellow New Yorkers—and that’s always an experience! You never know when you’re going to encounter a character worthy of fiction.

What will I do during my hiatus?

Writing will definitely be on the agenda. I’ve got a few short story ideas burning a hole in my imagination. I’d like a little time to refocus on fiction.

In the meantime, I wish all of you a Healthy, Joyful, Peaceful, Empowered, Energized, Relaxed, Creative, Productive, Engaged, Unique, Fun, Exciting, Inspiring, and HAPPY New Year!

  1. I wish I could call mine a holiday, but when I stop blogging, I’ll just be cleaning, baking, wrapping presents and mowing the grass. Did I tell anyone that I bought myself a battery operated lawn mower for xmas?
I used to mow the areas directly around the house with an electric mower with a long cord. Was always terrified I’d accidentally cut the cord and electrocute myself. This is much more betta!

The new mower sounds like a much needed present.

Now that I’ve bought a crazy amount of butter, sugar, flour, etc. I need to know what YOU will be baking? Now, that you’re not electrocuting yourself with the lawn mower…

I have to remind myself that Christmas is summer in the other hemisphere. I just booked a trip to Argentina for the end of March/beginning of April. That’s early spring in New York and early autumn in Buenos Aires and the Iguazu Falls. I’ve been to BA before, but this will be my first trip to the Falls!
